Crayon Closet is a peer-to-peer community built for Veterans, Veteran Spouses, Families of Veterans, and Patriots. We believe connection shouldn’t end when military service does. Here, people find community, shared experience, practical support, and people willing to show up through the everyday parts of life, not just the hard ones.
OUR STORY
Crayon Closet started with a simple belief: people need people. Military service may end, but the experiences, relationships, challenges, and changes that come with that life don’t simply disappear.
We built Crayon Closet to create the kind of community where Veterans, Veteran Spouses, Families of Veterans, and Patriots can connect with people who understand. Sometimes that means a serious conversation. Sometimes it means checking in, laughing during a game night, sitting around a campfire, or simply knowing there are people you can reach out to.
We aren’t here to replace therapy, crisis services, or professional care. We’re here to fill a different gap—the human one. Real connection, shared experience, community, resources, and people helping people keep moving forward.
And we’re still building. Through outreach, partnerships, and our Military-to-Civilian Transition Initiative, Crayon Closet is expanding the ways we can support service members, Veterans, and the families walking through those transitions alongside them.
